GetEdFunding hosts thousands of education grants, including funding opportunities for public and private preK–12 schools and districts; awards for outstanding professionals; grants for teachers, media specialists, and administrators; higher education institutions; and nonprofit organizations offering educational programs.


Edutopia

Edutopia is part of The George Lucas Educational Foundation. The blog’s focus is on k-12 educators and students. It’s two main purposes are to produce content that improves learning and engages students and to “collaborate with researchers, teachers, and curriculum experts” to advance the field of project-based learning.


EduTech for Teachers

EduTech for Teachers is a blog run by Jamie Forshey out of Pennsylvania. She has put together an impressive collection of blogs, resources, lessons, PD, project ideas, and so much more. Her site is definitely worth checking out.


Science Buddies

Science Buddies, formerly the Kenneth Lafferty Hess Family Charitable Foundation, is a non-profit organization that provides a website of free science project productivity tools and mentoring to support K-12 students, especially for science fairs.

Khan Academy

The Khan Academy free app for iOS and Android allows students to “learn almost anything for free.”  Khan academy provides access to an enormous wealth of content-specific videos including math, science, economics, and humanities.


Prezi Viewer

Prezi Viewer is a free app that lets you view and present your prezis wherever, whenever. This platform is a visual storytelling software alternative to traditional slide-based presentation formats. Prezi presentations feature a map-like overview that lets users pan between topics, zoom in on details, and pull back to reveal context.


Brainly

Brainly.com is a social learning network that essentially allows students to help each other with their homework. Apart from being a Q&A website, the service is a constantly growing, huge knowledge base. Download the latest Brainly app for Android and iOS operating systems.


LabGuru

LabGuru for iOS would be an excellent addition for advanced, IB, or AP science classes. This app helps students and teachers keep track of research, data, procedures, and everything you need for a successful experiment. Students preparing for college level sciences could benefit greatly from this application.
